WAYS TO HELP

There are so many ways you can get involved in helping us achieve our fundraising challenges.

In the Workplace:

Employee Fundraising – Why not choose Leo House as your Charity of the Year. Employee fundraising has real benefits for you the employer, your employee and for Leo House. By encouraging your staff to work together on fundraising projects you give them the opportunity to acquire new skills and improve team building. Another winning way to stimulate their involvement and recognise their efforts is for your company to match the sum they raise.

Payroll Giving is another excellent way to help. Individual employees can decide exactly how much they would like to donate each month and this amount is deducted directly from their salary before tax so it is an easy way for them to give without any extra cost to them. For new schemes in place up until 2006 and depending on the size of your company you will be eligible for the government grant of up to £500 and your employees will have their first six monthly donations matched by the government £ for £ up to a maximum of £10  Every body wins!

Many companies support Leo House simply by making a donation each year. The amounts can be made at any time during the year to fit in with your budget cycle and by using the Gift Aid Scheme it is possible for your company to reclaim the tax already paid.

Through your local school:

Schools provide a fantastic opportunity for Leo House to raise funds. They also provide a great opportunity for staff and young people to get involved with team activities whilst helping those who are less fortunate than themselves.

Your local school can adopt us for a year and hold events such a Christmas Carol Concert,  a school disco, Easter egg competition etc.

Take part in a challenge:

Have you ever wondered what it might be like to trek with the Masai, explore the Inca Trail, walk along the Great Wall of China? Well, you can do all of these and many others whilst raising vital funds for Leo House.  If you are willing and reasonably fit then there is a challenge for you - but remember nothing compares to the challenges faced every day of their lives by the families who come to us for support.
